 DIRECT RESPONSE MARKETING MANAGER

A dynamic marketing generalist role requiring solid expertise in strategizing and managing online and Direct Marketing programs.  North Vancouver location.

ROLE

Market consumer branded skin care products via Direct Response channels across Canada.

Provide strong marketing leadership and direction within an entrepreneurial setting, while bringing a lively mix of personality, professional experience and marketing know-how.

Main Responsibilities:

•    Create business and/or campaign plan to suggest new sources of revenue
•    Ability to source products suitable for direct response channels
•    Plan, Manage and supervise campaigns via (DRTV, The shopping network,     Direct Mail, List Mailing, credit card inserts program, print campaigns and/or internet)
•    Analyze campaign results using industry standard metrics
•    Plan and manage campaigns utilizing in house customer data base
•    Establish quarterly marketing budgets, budget break down and campaign cost break-down
•    Plan and implement revenue enhancement programs
•    Review inbound scripts and make necessary modifications
•    Coordinate and approve all creative and collateral with graphic agency
•    Regular coordination with Customer Service Supervisor and fulfillment
•    Plan and manage test campaigns before a roll out
•    Manage the membership acquisition and retention program
•    Working closely with internet staff to improve ecommerce sales, including generating ideas, content, approving design and so forth
•    Establish offer source codes


SKILLS

Minimum of five years experience planning and managing entire campaigns via magazines, list rentals, and credit card insertion programs, coop insertions; package inserts programs, direct mail, FSI and DRTV.

Great experience and knowledge of e-commerce affiliate programs, e-commerce banner programs, email marketing, e-commerce search engine, back-end sales, up sells programs, membership retention, customer purchase history and customer loyalty programs.

You are creative yet highly analytical with proven experience in managing results driven campaigns.

Ideally you have successfully communicated B2C brands across a variety of integrated media platforms including, web, e-mail, print, DRTV and PR.  The ability to control media buying processes and campaign planning, implementation and evaluation is highly advantageous.

Advanced knowledge of web and emarketing is required; as is experience leveraging emetrics and campaign results, and marketing research, to drive the decision making process.

You will be a hands-on team player comfortable with asserting a lead and in convincing others of your direction.

Skilled in art direction and copywriting/editing, you will drive the creative towards concepts that get results. You will have an interest in skincare and in marketing to a mainly female target audience throughout Canada and the US.  Experience in managing internal staff, vendors, agencies and other suppliers are key. 

Requirements

•    Minimum of 5 years B2C experience in a lead marketing role
•    Bachelors Degree in Marketing or equivalent (MBA or post university education preferred)
•    Proven ability in introducing new revenue streams
•    Strong experience in both retention and acquisition
•    Online and Direct Response Experience is required, with proven skills in campaign testing and analysis.
•    DRTV experience is preferred
•    Good interpersonal, time-management, negotiation and people management skills

SALARY
