This position is responsible for all matters pertaining to audits, budgets, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Duties include developing budgets and periodic forecasts, in addition to interfacing with Clients on a regular basis, and producing timely and accurate monthly internal and external financial reporting.
The Finance Manager also manages the finance team, including hiring, training and development, performance management, motivation and staff retention.
Other responsibilities include, ensuring proper documentation to support purchasing decision making, and month end closing process and maintenance of all accounting records and accounts reconciliations, identifying risk areas and making recommendations to implement corrective actions and maintaining safeguards, while assisting / supporting audits both internal and external.
SKILLS
Ideal qualifications include
Ability to analyze financial results, including account reconciliations and variance analysis;
A CMA or CGA accounting designation;
Four years’ experience and previous operational experience within the real estate/property management industry.
Strong "hands-on" accounting expertise with the ability to think strategically ;
Working knowledge of JD Edwards One World / PeopleSoft Enterprise One would be an asset;
Strong communication skills, including presentation and report writing , negotiating and influencing skills, planning and co-ordination , and the ability to meet deadlines and to manage competing priorities where necessary.
SALARY
