My Client, a large Commercial Property Management firm is currently seeking a qualified Facility Manager for a Commercial property in their Edmonton portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Facility Manager is responsible for directing the work of outside Contractors and Consultants as required, Managing Planned Repair and Capital Projects, Complying with all applicable codes, bylaws and regulations, and Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Additional duties include, budgeting, forecasting and reporting of operating expenses, including expense participation and annual tenant reconciliation. In addition to Participating in the development of tenants’ Emergency Operations Procedures. The Facility Manager will Oversee operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, standby power, switchgear and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and Coordinate power shutdowns and arrange for operation of standby power while Overseeing all preventative maintenance routines. There will be responsibilities regarding the 
Identification of energy reduction strategies and implementation of programs to address any issues. The Facility Manager Manages all architectural maintenance and operations and all aspects of risk management and environmental compliance, in addition to Managing and upgrading as required: environmental, security, and life safety systems. Furthermore, the Facility Manager Oversees construction and tenant improvement activities, including reviewing specifications and drawings as well as follow-up and commissioning. The candidate qualifications include, preferably Holding a related professional designation (RPA, CFM, CPM, FMA) and Has five or more years working experience in the areas listed as main responsibilities. Must have Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, Experience in strategic and space planning, Good Project Management skills and Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
