My client, best known for providing warranty and insurance services for the automotive and consumer products industries, is currently seeking a Product Development Manager for their Downtown Vancouver office. The Product Development Manager is responsible for developing new products and managing them throughout the product lifecycle, while working with sales, marketing, and internal departments to ensure customer needs are met. Key responsibilities include developing a solid understanding of the existing product suite, establishing product needs with internal departments, assisting with the new business plans for products, in addition to financial analysis and goal setting for achievable revenue and profit targets. The Product Development Manager will maintain compliance and lender certification requirements, and conduct internal training workshops to educate staff on new and existing products. Requirements of the position include a demonstrated track record of success with product development, implementation and pilot programs, knowledge of competitor products, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This Product Development Manager will prepare executive level presentations of product solutions, launch plans, and risk assessment, while analyzing markets and competitors, and remaining adaptable to react to changes impacting product plans.
