Executive Assistant

By Manager
My Downtown Vancouver client is currently seeking a top notch Executive Assistant to report to the Executive Vice President, Director. This position is extremely high profile and requires a candidate with impeccable skills, both verbal and written and a polished, professional demeanor. The Executive Assistant will perform a wide variety of secretarial and administrative tasks, which include word processing, filing, making travel arrangements, organizing meetings and maintaining the calendar. This position will be responsible for providing support in all areas to the Director and will require flexibility and a positive attitude, including a diplomatic personality, and at all times maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and premium customer service.  Advanced communication and listening skills are a must. Ideas are shared and conveyed in a clear, concise manner in individual and group settings. Strict Attention to detail and organizational duties are a large component of the job, must be able to plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, improve processes and have effective time management habits. My client is seeking someone who can “think on their feet”, and can handle a variety of situations creatively with little supervision. I am seeking a person who is able to take initiative and at the same time, have the ability to follow directions. Often this role will change directions in a moment’s notice, and the ideal candidate will “go with the flow”, no “in the box” thinking, must be thick skinned and not take things personally, with good negotiating skills, team leadership abilities, accessibility and integrity. Must be able to recognize what needs to be done, and follow through with the actions necessary to complete all tasks. My client needs a team player, who will get the job done with a confident, mature attitude.  Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience needed. This position is a corporate role, and requires a poised, polished individual. This is not a position for an “in the box” thinker.  I am looking for a “yes, I can” attitude, and someone who does not think certain duties are beneath them. This position is in a creative environment and pays $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience with a generous benefit program. For immediate consideration, please email your resume to abby@abbyrubin.com . Please note that I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond to this posting, and would like to extend a thank you in advance for your efforts, but only those best suited to this role will be contacted for an interview.
