My client a fast growing Environmental Resource firm is currently seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator for their Downtown Vancouver office. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Corporate Communications, and will be responsible for a variety of duties including Desktop publishing for publications and news/press releases, conducting research for media lists etc, in addition to providing support to the Senior Team Members in a variety of communication projects, initiatives and tasks as directed, such as:
Conducting research and analyzing data for various Public Relations and marketing initiatives
Managing and ordering promotional material as needed
Writing, editing and designing newsletters and various media release materials
Formatting and proof-reading proposals, presentations and other documents
Providing other support as requested for the Marketing, Sales and Public Relations departments
Organizing and coordinating marketing related events
Required qualifications and competencies include:
Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in Corporate Communications
Willingness to take on responsibility
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Advanced proficiency in Desktop publishing software and all MS office programs, specifically PowerPoint and Adobe In Design
Strong written communication and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task job duties, follow instructions and adhere to deadlines
This position is a corporate role, and requires a poised, polished individual. This is not a position for an “in the box” thinker.My client is looking for a “yes, I can” attitude, and someone who does not think certain duties are beneath them.
