My Client, a Junior Resource Exploration company is seeking a Senior Accountant for their Downtown Vancouver office. This firm has been in operation for over 5 years, and currently has 9 properties in B.C. During this growth phase, this company has been in acquisition mode, and is actively looking to acquire additional properties in both B.C. and globally. With a strong team of geological and executive staff who are very experienced and renowned in the mining industry the company is well capitalized and financed. We are seeking a self-starting individual with strong accounting and organization skills. The primary responsibilities will include:

 

 

·        Full Cycle Accounting

·        Assist in Budget Preparation

·        Variance Analysis

·        Account Reconciliation Analysis

·        Payroll and Employee Benefits Administration

·        GST & WCB Filings

·        Bank Reconciliations

·        Cash Flow Projections

·        Financial Statements

·        Maintain Fixed Asset Schedule

·        Prepare Monthend, Quarterly and Yearend Working Papers

·        Special projects

·        Provide support to CFO when required


Requirements

·        Must be able to “think outside of the box” and be a strong problem solver

·        Must have excellent communication skills

·        Proven track record and very good with people

·        Very team focused

·        Can take direction from senior officers and the Board of Directors

·        Organized, detail oriented and high degree of accuracy

·        Final level of CGA or CMA program

·        Advance level of Microsoft Excel & Word

·        Extensive working knowledge of QuickBooks

·        Ceridian Payroll Experience a must
